Part 6 of the 7 Holy Virtues Series

Kindness: The Virtue of Gentle Strength

This week, as we continue the 7 Holy Virtues Series, we call upon the Spirit of Kindness—the virtue of compassion, warmth, and selfless love.

Kindness is often mistaken for weakness, but true kindness requires great strength. It is the choice to offer understanding instead of judgment, to meet the world with grace, even when it is unkind in return. It is a power that does not seek reward but transforms everything it touches.

In tarot, kindness and emotional wisdom are most closely linked to The Queen of Cups.

This card represents deep empathy, emotional generosity, and intuitive care—kindness in its purest form.

  • It reminds us that compassion is a gift that flows outward but must also be replenished.

  • It teaches that true kindness comes from emotional intelligence, not from self-sacrifice.

  • It warns against giving until you are empty—kindness must include boundaries.

This week, as you call upon Kindness, remember: your heart’s warmth is limitless when it is honored, not depleted.

True Kindness asks:

  • Can you offer warmth without expectation?

  • Can you see others as they are, rather than as you wish them to be?

  • Can you extend the same kindness to yourself that you give to others?

If you, like me, have ever struggled with wanting things to happen faster, this invocation is for you. Patience is not passivity it is a deep, sacred strength.
