Part 4 of The Seven Holy Virtues Series

Chastity: The Virtue of Sacred Integrity

We are calling upon the Spirit of Chastity this week, as we continue our Seven Holy Virtues series. The Spirit of Chastity—the virtue of purity, self-respect, and intentional living.

Chastity is often misunderstood, shoved in a box with celibacy, it is often thought to only be aligned with physical purity. But, Chastity is truly about choice. About Aligning with you highest self. It’s about honoring your body, mind, and spirit by engaging with the world intentionally.

In the Tarot, Chastity and its sacred wisdom are closely linked with The High Priestess. This card depicting a woman holding sacraments between two pillars symbolizes inner knowledge, self trust, and spiritual purification—a wisdom that comes from listening to your intuition rather than external pressures. It reminds us that true power lies in self-awareness. It teaches that purity is not about denial but is about intentional choice. It warns against giving away your energy carelessly— your body, mind, and spirit are sacred and powerful.

True Chastity asks:

  • Can you make choices that honor your personal truth?

  • Can you set healthy boundaries that protect your energy?

  • Can you embrace love, desire, and connection without losing yourself?

If you have ever struggled with societal expectations then this is the invocation for you. Chastity is not about restriction but rather about discernment. It is about choosing who and what you let into your sacred space. And, that Sacredness is yours to define.
